ACTUALIZATION OF TRADITIONAL METHODS OF TEACHING PROFESSIONAL ENGLISH IN THE CONTEXT OF EDUCATION MODERNIZATION

In the article traditional and modern methods of teaching professional English to non-philological students are characterized. Special attention is paid to positive aspects of traditional methods of teaching which proved their effectiveness during many years. The author considers they should be actualized and successfully used today in combination with contemporary technologies and methods of teaching professional English such as comparative and digital ones as well as constructive methodology of blended learning and others. Modernization of education does not mean rejection of the achievements of the previous methods, it is rather aimed at implementation of new approaches in pedagogical science in order to satisfy current demands of our society in the war and post-war time.
