PENSION PROVISION AS A KEY ELEMENT OF SOCIAL POLICY TOWARDS THE ELDERLY

The thesis presents a theoretical and practical analysis of pension provision as one of the key mechanisms for implementing social policy towards the elderly in Ukraine. The pension system is viewed as an instrument of social protection that ensures a basic level of well-being for vulnerable population groups, contributes to social stability, and reflects the effectiveness of interaction between the state and its citizens. It is emphasized that under conditions of demographic ageing, war, and economic instability, issues of the financial sustainability of the pension system, its targeting, fairness, and accessibility come to the forefront. Pension provision is not only a financial tool but also an indicator of the level of social responsibility of the state towards the elderly.
