The introduction of digital technologies into rehabilitation in healthcare is fundamentally changing patient care. This review outlines the changing landscape of digital innovations in patient rehabilitation, focusing on the skills needed by healthcare professionals and their impact on patient outcomes. It highlights the role of digital technologies and their impact on rehabilitation practices, examines the application of selected digital technologies in practice, and emphasizes the importance of interprofessional collaboration between healthcare professionals. It provides specific examples of the impact of digital technologies on patient outcomes, healthcare professionals, institutions, and policymakers.
