The thesis presents a theoretical and methodological analysis of the impact of amputation on the psychological and motivational sphere of the individual, the role of the internal experience of amputation in the processes of comprehensive rehabilitation, psychosocial adaptation and social integration of people with amputations. It is emphasized that the peculiarities of emotional living with amputation, acceptance of the changed image of one’s own body and the risks of social stigmatization and isolation are a significant factor in restoring the quality of life, activity and participation of people with amputations. The importance of early psychological rehabilitation and psychosocial support as an important component of comprehensive rehabilitation of people with amputations is determined.
