The theses generally describe the current state of the natural reserve fund of Ukraine in the zone of occupation and active hostilities. It is emphasized that with each day of the war, the condition of individual territories and objects of the natural reserve fund only worsens. Hostilities constantly disturb the peace of wild animals and birds – they die under shelling, as a result of fires or explosions of explosive devices of various categories, or try to escape from hot spots. It is separately indicated which protected areas are currently under threat of destruction. Statistical data is provided - the amount of damage caused to the national natural reserve fund due to active military actions during different periods of the full-scale invasion and in total for more than three years of the war. It is emphasized that in each region of our country, covered by active hostilities, the amount of damage varies. The state of individual territories and objects of the natural reserve fund of Ukraine, which have suffered the most from the war to date, is considered in more detail. Finally, it is noted that despite the extremely difficult situation in the country, environmental protection activities do not stop. It is concluded that the war causes significant damage to the nature reserve fund, which is simply impossible to realistically assess due to a number of significant reasons.
