The theses are dedicated to a comprehensive analysis of the pathogenesis and algorithms for the differential diagnosis of jaundice syndromes, which is critically important for the timely detection and adequate treatment of hepatobiliary system dysfunctions. The work systematizes the physiological stages of bilirubin metabolism (prehepatic, hepatic, and posthepatic phases) and examines the main mechanisms of development of hemolytic, parenchymal, and obstructive (mechanical) jaundice. Special attention is given to clinical manifestations, biochemical markers, and instrumental examination results that allow for clear differentiation of each type of jaundice. Furthermore, prospects for the use of novel molecular tests and imaging technologies to improve diagnostic accuracy are discussed, as well as ways to integrate personalized therapeutic approaches into clinical practice. It is emphasized that the implementation of a multidisciplinary diagnostic approach significantly enhances treatment effectiveness and reduces the risk of complications.
