Abstract

The abstracts examine the theoretical foundations of social work with distance families, emphasizing the importance of understanding the specifics of their needs in modern society. The impact of physical distance on emotional ties between family members is characterized, and the use of modern technologies to support communication is discussed. Considerable attention is paid to theories such as the systems approach and attachment theory, which help explain the dynamics of relationships in distance families. The paper substantiates the importance of training social workers in effective support methods, including educational programs, group therapy, and psychological assistance. Examples of strategies that can be implemented to improve the quality of life of members of distance families, taking into account their emotional and social needs, are given. The challenges faced by long-distance families, such as feelings of isolation and stress, are discussed, and the problems that long-distance families may face, including isolation and stress, and the importance of adapting social interventions are examined.
