NEW FORMS OF POLITICAL MOBILIZATION DURING POLITICAL INSTABILITY

Abstract

The theses explore new forms of political mobilization that arise in the context of political instability and digital transformation of society. The author analyzes examples of the use of social networks, messengers, crowdfunding, algorithmic targeting and artificial intelligence to coordinate protest movements, attract new participants and organize public initiatives in different countries of the world. Particular attention is paid to the cases of Ukraine, Myanmar, France, Sudan and Iran, which demonstrate how digital tools change the mechanisms of interaction of citizens with the authorities and with each other. The work outlines the potential and risks of digital mobilization, including the threats of disinformation, digital surveillance, algorithmic manipulation and the need to develop digital security and critical thinking. The author emphasizes that modern political activism is increasingly hybrid in nature, combining online platforms with offline presence, and that only through a combination of institutional guarantees and digital skills is effective and safe civic participation possible in an unstable world.
