Abstract

This paper explores the current stage of Ukraine’s Europeanization, examining its challenges, contradictions, and potential strategies for sustainable advancement. Ukraine’s path toward integration into existing European structures is marked by a complex interplay of factors—some of which may accelerate the country’s accession to the European Union, while others may significantly impede this process. Special attention is paid to the substantial shift in public attitudes toward Ukraine’s prospective membership in both the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Today, an overwhelming majority of Ukrainian citizens express strong support for the country’s integration into these international organizations. The study underscores the importance of a comprehensive and nuanced understanding of the full range of internal and external conditions shaping Ukraine’s European trajectory. It highlights the critical need for deliberate, informed strategies aimed at minimizing the impact of destabilizing factors that could obstruct Ukraine’s consistent progress toward Europeanization.
