STATE CONTROL OVER THE USE AND PROTECTION OF LAND RESOURCES

The organization of state control over the use and protection of land resources- whose effective management is a key factor in the sustainable development of the state-has been analyzed. It is noted that state control in the field of land relations is regulated by the laws of Ukraine, and its implementation is entrusted to the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre (State Geocadastre), the State Environmental Inspection, local state administrations and local self-government bodies. It is substantiated that state control in the field of land use and protection is a purposeful and socially important activity of the state. Its main objective is to prevent and eliminate violations of land legislation, as well as to ensure real compliance with the law in the land sphere. It is emphasized that state control over the use and protection of land is a key mechanism for implementing land policy and ensuring of environmental safety. Its effectiveness is determined by the level of interaction between regulatory authorities, the legal certainty of procedures and the use of modern digital technologies.
