The main types of verbal aggression, in particular direct and indirect, active and passive, are studied, and low, medium, high and critical levels of its manifestation in modern communication are developed. Particular attention is paid to the spread of aggressive verbal expressions in the media space, social networks and interpersonal communication. It is established that verbal aggression is an important sociolinguistic phenomenon that reflects social conflicts, changes in communicative norms and the transformation of linguistic culture.
