PSYCHOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF EXPERIENCING JEALOUSY IN THE SIBLING SUBSYSTEM

The theses examine the psychological characteristics of experiencing jealousy within the sibling subsystem of the family. The nature of sibling relationships, their functions and types, as well as the main factors influencing the development of jealousy between brothers and sisters are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to parenting styles, age differences, birth order, and individual psychological traits of children. Various theoretical approaches to explaining the phenomenon of jealousy are considered (psychoanalytic, cognitive, emotional-personal), and the potential consequences for the child's emotional development are outlined. The paper emphasizes the importance of timely identification and correction of childhood jealousy as a key factor in the harmonious development of personality and healthy interpersonal relationships within the family.
