TURKEY AND THE ORGANIZATION OF THE BLACK SEA ECONOMIC COOPERATION

Abstract

In the theses, the author highlights the role of Turkey in the formation of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation and the prospects for the development of the organization. The organization plays a significant role in the political and economic life of not only this region but also some adjacent ones. An example of such influence is projects for the reconstruction and expansion of infrastructure in the regions of the Balkans, the Caucasus, the northern Black Sea, the Sea of Azov, etc. Turkey, as a regional leader and the founding country of the organization, plays a central role in the organization and is one of the drivers of the organization’s development.
