The theses substantiate the feasibility of modernizing the professional training of future teachers of natural and mathematical disciplines by implementing the author’s special course «STEM-education». The goal of the course, tasks, structure and content are determined, which allows to outline the development of general and professional competencies of education seekers. The methodology of teaching the course and the use of systemic complex connections between general secondary education institutions and the university allow to significantly increase the level of technological competence of future teachers and better prepare them for the implementation of a STEM-oriented approach in professional activities. The innovative nature of the course is enhanced by the creation of an educational product based on the results of its study. The methodological STEM case, which is developed by pedagogical education seekers, is the basis for the development of their personnel technology in the future.
