POLITICAL CORRECTNESS AS A REALIZATION OF THE PRINCIPLE (IDEA) OF EQUALITY

The materials present a theoretical and methodological analysis of political correctness and its role in the implementation of the principle (idea) of equality in a democratic society. It is emphasized that political correctness can be considered as a set of measures: refusal to use words and actions that could be offensive to others. It is noted that political correctness, as a component of the principle of equality, is a socially recognized concept that helps reduce the emotional intensity of interpersonal communication and ensures the equality among communicants, fostering their readiness for cooperation. It is also emphasized that the ideology of political correctness in society supports the implementation of the principle (idea) of equality as a human right to social justice, because it determines the level of social maturity.
