Abstract

The paper addresses issues pertaining to practical legal activity as the foundation for the implementation and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms, as well as the maintenance of law and order in society. The theses provide an in-depth analysis of the key objectives of practical legal activity. A classification is presented, and the content of the main functions is examined, including the law-directing, law-specifying and informational-signaling, law-enforcement, law-making, legal explanatory, supervisory, and regulatory functions, among others.
