PECULIARITIES OF PROVIDING PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT TO DISTANT UKRAINIAN FAMILIES IN SWITZERLAND

The thesis highlights the psychological aspects of the functioning of distant Ukrainian families in the context of forced migration (based on the example of Switzerland). Attention is focused on the specific psycho-emotional challenges caused by separation, the forced disruption of social ties, role changes, and adaptation to new cultural realities. The study analyzes psychological support practices implemented in Swiss temporary protection centers, taking into account the intercultural context and the needs of Ukrainian families. Effective psychotherapeutic strategies are outlined, including emotional stabilization, support for long-distance couple relationships, trauma work, and psychoeducational interventions. The importance of a flexible approach to providing assistance, the integration of Ukrainian and Western psychotherapeutic experience, and cultural sensitivity as a foundation for effective psychological support for distant families is emphasized.
