Abstract

The paper attempts to reveal the socio-psychological possibilities of predicting the emergence, completion and overcoming of the consequences of wars. It is shown that the key psychological feature of wars is a conflict in which violent and aggressive actions are implemented. Its modern varieties are outlined. Certain achievements of psychological science are noted that concern the training of military personnel, their selection, support, and provision of psychological assistance, both to military personnel and to the civilian population suffering from wars. It is revealed that socio-psychological research is almost not used in existing forecasts regarding the emergence, completion and overcoming of the consequences of wars. It is proposed that, at the first stage, the methodology and principles of organizational and activity games be used to study socio-psychological predictive models of various manifestations of wars. The content positions and possibilities of its implementation are highlighted.
