CIVIL SERVICE – AS A CAREER PATH OPPORTUNITY

The materials presents a theoretical and methodological analysis of democratic governance in Ukraine. The civil service in Ukraine is characterized as a tool for modernization and introduction of a new model of public administration, based on the protection of public interests, cooperation with the population, and advocacy of the interests of citizens. It is emphasized that the development of civil service allows for the combination of efforts in achieving the common global goal of the state and citizens regarding the sustainable development of the state. Reforming the civil service and human resource management in state bodies is one of the priorities of the transformation of the state. To increase the professional competencies of employees, it is necessary to apply innovative methods of staff motivation with the development of modern motivation and incentive programs in accordance with the strategies of public authorities.
