Abstract

The theses examine the historical development of manipulative technologies in the political sphere — from the rhetorical techniques of antiquity to modern digital strategies of influence on mass consciousness. The key stages of the transformation of political manipulation are analyzed in the context of changing socio-political conditions, technological progress and the development of mass communications. Particular attention is paid to the methods of forming public opinion, the use of media, as well as the role of social networks in the political discourse of the 21st century. The authors emphasize the importance of critical thinking and media literacy as tools for countering manipulation in a democratic society.
