Black Sea Germans and Their Impact on the Regional Economy

The theses present a economic analysis of the impact of German colonists on the economic development of the Black Sea region as one of the factors in the industrialization of the region’s agricultural sector. The German influence on the region’s economy is characterized by the introduction of technical means, which took place both within the colonies themselves and among the indigenous population, in order to increase productivity. It is worth noting that German colonists were often pioneers in introducing new technologies in the Black Sea region, making them an important part of society in both urban and rural areas during the rule of the Russian Empire and up to the beginning of dekulakization during the establishment of Soviet power. These theses also aim to celebrate the multicultural heritage of the Black Sea region.
