CURRENT CHALLENGES AND STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS FOR REFORMING HEALTHCARE SYSTEMS IN THE WORLD

The theses consider the features of reforming state policy in the sphere of health care in the context of modern socio-economic challenges. The key problems of the functioning of health care systems are analyzed, in particular, unequal access to medical services, rising costs, shortage of medical personnel, aging of the population and the emergence of new epidemiological threats. The role of market mechanisms, competition and state regulation in increasing the efficiency of medical systems is highlighted. Special attention is paid to such areas of reform as the development of telemedicine, digitalization of medical data, increasing price transparency, improving the licensing system and expanding patients' rights. It is substantiated that the combination of public administration with market instruments contributes to improving the quality, accessibility and efficiency of medical services.
