EUROPEAN STANDARDS OF ANTI-CORRUPTION POLICY AND THEIR IMPLEMENTATION IN UKRAINE

The theses examine the peculiarities of the formation and implementation of European anti-corruption policy standards in Ukraine in the context of European integration processes. The role of international institutions and regulatory mechanisms is revealed, in particular the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) in shaping a modern anti-corruption system. The study analyzes the establishment of specialized anti-corruption institutions in Ukraine, the introduction of transparency tools and e-governance, and identifies the key conditions for the effective implementation of international standards. The main challenges are outlined, including the systemic nature of corruption, insufficient effectiveness of the practical implementation of reforms, and uneven compliance with international recommendations. It is concluded that there is a need to strengthen institutional capacity, ensure the real independence of anti-corruption bodies, and increase the level of integrity as prerequisites for Ukraine’s successful European integration.
